STRATADESK

Help centre · Email

Set up your StrataDesk email.

Choose your device below and follow the steps. Most people finish in under five minutes.

Before you start

Have these two things ready.

  • Your complete StrataDesk email address.
  • The separate mailbox password supplied during onboarding.
Your two passwords may be different.Your mailbox password is for email apps. Your StrataDesk password is for signing in to the building system. Never enter your StrataDesk password into an email app.

Use these settings

The same details work in every email app.

Always choose IMAP, not POP. IMAP keeps your inbox, sent messages and folders in sync across your phone and computer.

  3. Sign in with the Infomaniak account ID and password supplied during onboarding.
  4. Choose the alex@harbourview.example mailbox if more than one mailbox appears.

This sign-in is different from manual IMAP setup. If you received only an email address and mailbox password, use one of the client guides below.

Final check

Make sure sending and receiving both work.

  1. 1Send

Send a message from the new mailbox to a personal email address.

  2. 2Reply

Reply from the personal address and confirm it arrives.

  3. 3Sync

Check that the sent message appears in the Sent folder on another device.

Troubleshooting

If it does not connect.

“Username or password incorrect”

Use the complete email address as the username. Re-enter the mailbox password—not your StrataDesk or Infomaniak account password. If your onboarding includes Infomaniak account access, confirm the mailbox opens in Infomaniak Mail before trying the app again.

Receiving works, but sending fails

Check SMTP port 587, STARTTLS and “authentication required”. The outgoing username must be the complete email address.

The app warns about a certificate

Do not accept the warning. Confirm both servers are exactly mail.infomaniak.com, then try again on a trusted internet connection.

Folders or old messages are missing

Confirm the account type is IMAP, then allow several minutes for the first sync. Check that the app is set to sync all mail rather than only the last few days.

Still stuck?

Start with Infomaniak’s configuration assistant.

It detects your device and provides the latest setup route for supported clients.
